Dialect: A Game About Language and How It Dies is a storytelling RPG where you build both a community and their unique language. Your group creates an isolated culture, then watches their dialect evolve and ultimately fade away. It’s linguistic archaeology in reverse.

The hardcover book guides you through creating words that emerge from your community’s beliefs, struggles, and identity. Language-generating cards spark new vocabulary organically during play. You’ll find 15 total playsets – four core scenarios plus eleven contributed by renowned designers, linguists, and activists. Each 3-4 hour session leaves you with both a complete story and a fully developed dialect your group created together.

Available in three editions: Digital only, Standard with the physical book and card deck, or the Glossopoet Edition.
