Two ways to play long-form stories:
Join our open-table living world. You can drop in and out of this world.
Alternatively, book a private campaign with a dedicated DM for your closed group.
Open Campaigns (Drop-in World)
A shared world that remembers what players do.
Our open campaigns use a living world format. Each session is playable on its own. Your choices, discoveries, and alliances shape the world for future tables. Parties form from whoever shows up that night, pick a quest, and adventure together. Miss a week? No problem — the world keeps turning.
How it works
- When: Rotating weeknights 19:00–23:00 (doors 18:45). Check the calendar for scheduled dates.
- Open table: Different players each session; you can join even if you missed previous weeks.
- Player-driven: Choose from available quests on our quest board (rumors, bounties, mysteries, faction missions).
- Session structure: Depart from a safe hub, adventure for 3.5 hours, return before session end (no cliffhangers between weeks).
- World memory: We maintain a session log and world map in-store; discoveries from one table affect the next.
- Systems & levels: Mostly D&D 5e. We run Level 3 (Starter) and Level 5 (Advanced) tables depending on sign-ups.
Goblin tip: First time in an open campaign? Pick the simplest quest on the board, follow the party’s lead, and enjoy the ride. You’ll catch up fast.
Pricing: €7.50 per person, per session. Book individual dates or save with our multi-session discount (see below).
Private Campaigns (Hire a Table & DM)
Your party, your story, your schedule.
Book a closed-table campaign for your group with a dedicated professional DM. Perfect for friends, coworkers, and families. It is ideal for anyone who wants a consistent cast, tailored tone, and a story that builds over time.
What you get
- Dedicated DM who plans around your group’s vibe (heroic, spooky, cozy, grim, heist, political intrigue, sci-fi noir).
- Session Zero to build characters together, set tone, establish lines/veils, and align party goals.
- Custom story arc: Typically 6–12 sessions (or ongoing if you’re hooked). We build toward real endings.
- Immersive terrain & minis, ambient music, props/handouts as the story requires.
- Inclusive, beginner-friendly table culture — we teach as we play, even for complete newcomers.
- Venue included at The Role Play Goblin (Den Haag) with a private table feel.
Systems & example campaigns
We run what excites your group. Popular options include:
- D&D 5e — Ravenloft horror, Waterdeep heists, Eberron noir, giant-hunting, political intrigue, dungeon delves.
- Daggerheart — Cinematic, narrative-driven fantasy with fast escalation and Hope mechanics.
- The Witcher TRPG — Monster contracts, moral gray zones, alchemy, and hard choices in a grim fantasy world.
- Call of Cthulhu — 1920s investigators uncovering sanity-shredding mysteries.
- Sci-Fi (Blade Runner, ALIEN, Starfinder, Mothership) — Investigation, survival horror, salvage ops, neon-noir cases.
- Other systems — Tell us what sounds fun. We take requests and love trying new games.
Format & pricing
- Group size: 3–6 players works best (4-5 is the sweet spot).
- Session length: 4 hours (19:00–23:00) or adjust to fit your schedule.
- Frequency: Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly — you set the pace.
- Pricing: €7.50 per person, per session. Book 6+ sessions upfront, get 1 session free (e.g., pay for 5, play 6).
- Session Zero: Included free when booking a campaign arc.
Goblin tip: Not sure how long to commit? Start with a 6-session arc — long enough for real story depth, short enough to fit a busy life. You can always extend if you’re hooked.
