1. Definitions

  • Seller: The Role Play Goblin, registered at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 60672412
  • Customer: Any person placing an order through our webshop or physical store
  • Agreement: The purchase contract between Seller and Customer
  • Product: Physical goods including but not limited to books, dice, miniatures, terrain, accessories, and 3D prints

2. Applicability

These terms apply to all offers, orders, and agreements with The Role Play Goblin. By placing an order, you explicitly accept these terms. Any deviations from these terms are only valid if agreed in writing.

3. Offers and Prices

  • All prices include Dutch VAT (21% standard rate; 9% for books)
  • Prices are in Euros (€)
  • Shipping costs are displayed separately before checkout completion
  • All offers are non-binding and valid while stock lasts
  • We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors, typographical mistakes, or system errors without liability
  • Promotional offers are valid only during the stated period and cannot be combined unless explicitly stated
  • We reserve the right to modify prices at any time; orders placed before price changes honour the original price

4. Orders and Agreement

  • An agreement is formed when you complete checkout and receive an order confirmation email
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders in case of suspected fraud, abuse, reseller activity, or unreasonable order quantities
  • We may set maximum order quantities per customer
  • Order confirmation is subject to stock availability; we will notify you promptly if items are unavailable
  • We are not bound by obvious errors in product descriptions or images

5. Payment

We accept: iDEAL, Credit/debit cards, PayPal, Klarna, Bancontact

  • Payment is processed securely through Mollie and PayPal
  • Orders are processed only after full payment confirmation
  • In case of payment disputes with third-party providers (e.g., Klarna, PayPal), their terms apply to the payment process
  • We reserve the right to require prepayment for high-value orders

  • Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, and do not constitute grounds for cancellation or compensation
  • Standard delivery: 1-3 business days (NL), 3-7 business days (EU)
  • Risk of loss transfers to Customer upon delivery to the carrier (for business customers) or upon receipt (for consumers)
  • We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs, force majeure, or incorrect address information provided by Customer
  • Customer must ensure availability to receive delivery; additional delivery attempts or storage fees are Customer’s responsibility
  • If Customer fails to collect a package and it is returned to us, we will refund the product minus original and return shipping costs

7. Local Pickup

  • Orders must be collected within 14 days of the ready-for-pickup notification
  • Uncollected orders after 14 days will be cancelled and refunded minus the €2.50 handling fee
  • Valid ID or order confirmation required for pickup

8. Right of Withdrawal (Herroepingsrecht)

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Dutch law (Wet Koop op Afstand), consumers have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason. This period starts the day after you receive your order.

To withdraw:

  1. Notify us unambiguously at info@theroleplaygoblin.nl stating your intention to return, including order number
  2. Return the product(s) within 14 days of your withdrawal notification
  3. Products must be unused, undamaged, complete with all parts and accessories, and in original sealed packaging where applicable

Exceptions — No Right of Withdrawal:

  • Sealed products where the seal has been broken (e.g., sealed card packs, booster boxes, shrink-wrapped games, blind boxes, mystery items) — for hygiene and integrity reasons
  • Custom or personalised products (e.g., custom 3D prints made to your specifications)
  • Products clearly personalised or made to Customer’s specifications
  • Products that deteriorate quickly or have a limited shelf life
  • Digital content once download or streaming has begun with your consent

Condition of Returned Products:

  • You may inspect products as you would in a physical store
  • Any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the product will be deducted from your refund
  • Products returned damaged, incomplete, used, or without original packaging may be refused or subject to a value reduction of up to 100%
  • Miniatures removed from sprues, assembled, painted, or modified cannot be returned
  • Dice removed from original packaging and showing signs of use cannot be returned at full value

9. Return Shipping and Refunds

  • Return shipping costs are paid by Customer for change-of-mind returns
  • Customer bears the risk of return shipment until received by us; we recommend tracked shipping
  • We refund within 14 days of receiving the returned items or proof of return shipment, whichever is earlier
  • Refund uses the same payment method as original purchase
  • Original shipping costs are only refunded if you return the complete order
  • If you chose a more expensive shipping method than standard, we refund only the standard shipping cost

10. Defective Products and Warranty

  • All products come with legal warranty (wettelijke conformiteitsgarantie) as required by Dutch law
  • Defects must be reported within 2 months of discovery
  • You must provide photos and description of the defect
  • We will assess the claim and, at our discretion, offer repair, replacement, or refund
  • We reserve the right to inspect returned defective items before processing claims

Warranty Exclusions:

  • Damage caused by improper use, accidents, modifications, or external causes
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage during return shipping caused by inadequate packaging
  • Products modified, painted, assembled, or altered by Customer
  • Minor cosmetic variations inherent to handmade or 3D-printed products

11. 3D Printed Products

  • 3D prints may have minor layer lines, support marks, or cosmetic imperfections inherent to the printing process; these are not defects
  • Custom 3D prints made to Customer specifications are non-refundable
  • Colour may vary slightly from images due to material batches and monitor differences
  • Customer is responsible for verifying print specifications before ordering

12. Pre-Orders and Backorders

  • Pre-order items are charged at time of order placement
  • Estimated release dates are provided by manufacturers and may change; we are not liable for delays
  • Pre-orders may be cancelled by Customer for a full refund until the item ships
  • We reserve the right to cancel pre-orders if we cannot obtain stock, with full refund provided

13. Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, lost profits, or damages arising from product use
  • We are not liable for damages caused by carrier delays, loss, or mishandling once products are handed to the carrier
  • We are not liable for colour or appearance variations between product images and actual products
  • Force majeure (including but not limited to pandemics, natural disasters, supplier failures, carrier strikes) suspends our obligations without liability

14. Intellectual Property

  • All content on our website (images, text, logos, product designs) is owned by The Role Play Goblin or our licensors
  • Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without written permission is prohibited
  • Product images are for illustration; actual products may vary

15. Customer Obligations

  • Customer must provide accurate contact and delivery information
  • Customer must ensure someone is available to receive delivery
  • Customer must inspect products upon receipt and report issues within 48 hours for shipping damage
  • Customer is responsible for understanding product use and age appropriateness

16. Account and Data

  • Customer is responsible for maintaining account security
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts suspected of fraud or abuse
  • See our Privacy Policy for data handling practices

17. Disputes and Governing Law

  • Dutch law applies exclusively to all agreements
  • For complaints, contact info@theroleplaygoblin.nl first; we aim to resolve issues within 14 days
  • Unresolved disputes may be submitted to the European ODR platform: https://ec.europa.eu/odr
  • Disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the competent court in The Hague, Netherlands

18. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Invalid provisions will be replaced with valid provisions that most closely match the original intent.

19. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. The version valid at the time of your order applies to that purchase. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
