House Rules

If you have ever played World of Warcraft, you already get this. You want to run a dungeon, but you cannot solo it. So you hop into the group finder, pull a party together, and off you go.

LFG is that same idea for tabletop. You have got a game you want to play, whether that is D&D, Mork Borg, Call of Cthulhu or something weird and wonderful, and you need a few good people to fill the table.

And just like in WoW, the one everyone is hunting for is the tank or the healer. Around here that is the Dungeon Master. Good DMs are pure gold, so if you run games you will be popular fast. If you are a player, be the kind of person a DM is glad to have at the table.

Start a group, claim your seat, let people apply, and go have an adventure. A few house rules keep it fun for everyone.

House rules

  • Be a good human. No harassment, hate, or making anyone feel unwelcome. We are all here to have fun.
  • This is not a dating app. LFG is for finding games, not dates. If someone says no, that is the end of it.
  • No paid games. Do not charge players, sell seats, or push paid DM services here. LFG is free and community run. Want to run games for money? Brilliant, that is exactly what our DM for Hire service is for. Come talk to us.
  • Be straight with people. Describe your group and yourself honestly, so nobody turns up to a surprise.
  • Show up, or give a heads up. Life happens and we get it. Just tell your group instead of vanishing.
  • Use safety tools. Respect lines and veils, and keep the table comfy for everyone.
  • Label your table. Mark 18+ games clearly, and keep the kid-friendly ones kid-friendly.
  • No spam or scams. You know the drill.

Playing it safe

Some groups meet at home, which is great, but use your head. Meet new people at the shop or somewhere public first, tell a friend where you are going, and trust your gut. You join any game at your own risk.

If someone spoils it

We want this to be a friendly corner of the hobby, so we will keep it that way. We can edit or pull any listing, remove someone from a group, and ban people from LFG if they will not play nice. Break the no paid games rule and you can expect an instant LFG ban. To be clear, a ban only touches LFG. You are still very welcome to shop with us. Spotted something off? Report it, it comes straight to us and nobody else.

The small print

LFG just introduces people. We are not responsible for what happens between players or at any table, and we cannot vouch for anyone. Use common sense and be kind.
